DESCRIPTION

DARNING a modern upgrade to the Clarks Flotilla line launched in the 1940s, an example of which can be seen seen below. (belonging to the Clarks Archive.) Darning and the iconic Clarks Desert Boot share the same stitchdown construction, but it is there that the similarities end. The natural crepe rubber is replaced with a modern transparent TPU and the stiff runner board replaced with a rebounding and absorbing cork. Remarkably flexible yet very hard wearing, the comfort innovation is rounded off with a cork inlaysole. Seen here as a deconstructed lace derby, in a selection of premium unlined suedes. A perfect go to shoe for the summer, versatile for dressing up or down.
